Data standard
Amazon product data methodology
The rules used to keep marketplace data current, attributable and transparent.
Product identity, image, price, availability and features come from Amazon. Gold Finder validates and filters those fields but does not manufacture missing facts.

What to know first
ASIN format is validated.
Images must use approved Amazon hosts.
Price requires a live marketplace amount.
Variant grouping reduces duplicates.
Required fields
A product needs an ASIN, title, supported Amazon image and available listing. Parent ASIN, brand, model and features are retained when the API supplies them.
Freshness and failures
Successful results are cached briefly to protect the API. Timeouts prevent requests from hanging. When live retrieval fails, the site does not label an older cached price as current.
Affiliate handling
Product destinations are constructed for the selected marketplace. Links open the corresponding ASIN page and are marked nofollow, sponsored and noopener.
